Rilievi Scarf

The newest Interweave e-Mag, ColorKnits, is out and I have both pattern, Rilievi, and an article in this issue! The article explains the very awesome technique (which I call Embossed Lace) that is used in the pattern.

Rilievi is a reversible scarf. Both sides are not identical, but both are intriguing and beautiful. One side is lace in bas relief. The other is stockinette in columns of color.

The both sides are worked together at once, there is no seaming. It’s similar to double knitting, but isn’t. Clear as mud, yes? Here is my project on the blocking board.

ColorKnits is only available on the iPad. See this post for more information about the other excellent articles and patterns.
